Brooklyn Brewery

We've really expanded our 'Beers of the World' range recently and one brand that we've added to is Brooklyn Beers. The Brooklyn Brewery is a leading Craft Brewer in the US. It is based in New York where Brooklyn Lager is the 5 best selling Draught beer.
In the late 1800’s the Brooklyn area in New York, was one of the largest brewing centres in the United States being home to over 45 breweries. Nowadays the Brooklyn Brewery, still based in New York, is one of the leading Craft brewers in the United States. They produce a wide range of beer varieties including Lager, Pilsner, EIPA, Brown Ale and Summer Ale.

The brewery’s flagship beer, Brooklyn Lager is the No.5 selling draught beer in New York, no mean feat considering it outsells the likes of Miller, Coors Light and Heineken there. Brooklyn Lager is an intensely flavoured Hoppy beer with a slightly bitter taste.  It is now available in Ireland in 6 pack format (6*355ml).

Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Brooklyn Pennant Pale Ale ’55 is a classic English pale ale, brewed with the prized Maris Otter Malt and Fuggles, Willamette and Cascade hops. Maris Otter is an old malt variety that yields an incomparable biscuity flavor. Pennant is chesnut-colored, medium in body with a hearty malt palate and smooth hop finish. This beer is a tribute to the Brooklyn Dodgers 1955 world champion baseball team.

Brooklyn Brewery's Oktoberfest is a crisp and refreshing, with delicate caramel notes and a bit of yeast flavor. This is definitely on the drier and lighter-bodied side for the style.
